Ellie Goulding’s Chloé wedding dress ‘took 640 hours to make’ as she marries Caspar Jopling

Ellie Goulding has revealed that she ‘never felt more special’ when trying on her wedding dress, as she recently got married to partner Caspar Jopling.

The Love Me Like You Do singer tied the knot with the art dealer over the weekend, wearing a bespoke Chloé high-necked gown, complete with veil, that was designed by Natacha Ramsay-Levi and consisted of hand-embroidered White Roses of York and the initials of the happy couple sewn into the collar.

Astonishingly, the dress reportedly took 640 hours to make. While, according to the fashion house, her beautiful veil took another 591 hours to create.

Now, Ellie has admitted that she was ‘thrilled and excited’ to be able to work with Natacha, and together they worked on something ‘timeless and classic’. Speaking to JustJared.com, she said: ‘I was so thrilled and excited to collaborate with Natacha at Chloé on my wedding dress.

‘Natacha worked alongside me to design something timeless and classic, but with all the Chloé spirit.’ She added: ‘I have never felt more special than the moment I first tried on the dress during my fitting in Paris, it was utterly awe-inspiring to see the craftsmanship and attention to detail.’

Ellie and Caspar married at the York Minister cathedral on 31 August, in front of friends, family and many other celebrities. The bride arrived to the ceremony in a blue Volkswagen camper van, as crowds of fans waited outside the venue.

Ellie’s bridesmaids matched the singer, as they sported long white dresses, while the groom looked dapper in a smart suit with tails.

Notable celebrities at the ceremony included James Blunt, Sienna Miller, and fellow celeb couple Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry.

The newlyweds will celebrated their marriage at a wedding reception at Castle Howard, which was reportedly planned by the same events company used by Prince William and Kate Middleton and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their royal weddings.

Ellie and Caspar had been together since 2017, with the pair announcing their engagement in August 2018.
