Petrol bombs thrown on streets of Hong Kong on worst day of protests yet

Protesters threw petrol bombs at government headquarters as police attacked passengers at train stations on Hong Kong’s most violent day of protests yet.

Police hit subway passengers with clubs and sprayed pepper spray on them on Saturday, grinding Hong Kong’s transport system to a halt.
It came after authorities fired water cannons and tear gas at demonstrators in the streets, who retaliated with lasers and petrol bombs.
Today, an express train to Hong Kong’s airport was suspended as pro-democracy protesters gathered there in retaliation against the violent clashes.
Trains from the airport on Chek Lap Kok island into the city are still running, transport network Mass Transit Railway (MTR) said.
