Jennifer Arcuri has repeatedly refused
to answer when asked if she had an affair with Boris
Johnson.

had or didn’t have. Boris never gave me favouritism.’
Speaking on
Good Morning Britain, she said she didn’t want any answer she gave to be
‘weaponised’ agaist the prime minister.
She
suggested questions about their relationship were rooted in sexism, asking
Piers Morgan: ‘Would you like me to ask about your sex life?
‘The first
initial reaction is to deny everything. When I saw the way I’m objectified and
dragged through the press… If I had looked a different way or if I was a man, I
wouldn’t be objectified this way.’
Describing the kit as a ‘conversation starter,’ she said she and Mr Johnson ‘always had a laugh about it’.
‘The pole stood in the living room, yes, he saw the pole.’
When asked directly whether Mr Johnson had ever used the pole, Ms Arcuri said: ‘I’m never going to tell you that.’
She said Boris Johnson had visited her flat a ‘handful’ of times.
But asked about the interview today, Boris Johnson refused to comment.
‘I’ve really said everything I want to say about that,’ he said, trying to move the conversation on to new hospitals.

over discussing classic literature including Shakespeare.
‘I remember just striking up a conversation about classic
literature and Shakespeare and we immediately bonded,’ she said. ‘That mutual
interest endeared him to me from the get go because we found something we both
liked.’
The technology entrepreneur and former model told ITV’s
Good Morning Britain that she did not have time for the media attention
surrounding Mr Johnson when they met in public.
She added: ‘We tried having drinks out in public or
having lunch, it just became too much of a mob show, so I said ‘you just have
to come to my office’.’
Ms Arcuri said she had never discussed any sponsorship or grants with Mr Johnson.
When asked if she had asked Mr Johnson to help with any ‘sponsorship money’, she said: “Categorically no.”
Ms Arcuri denied ever directly asking Mr Johnson for sponsorship money.
When asked whether she had asked for money, she said: ‘Do you think I would waste his time talking about this stuff?’
She said she used £10,000 given to her firm from London and Partners, the promotional agency run by the Mayor of London, to ‘produce [an] event’ she hosted in 2013.
